Privacy Notice
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This notice explains how the Oxford Ministry for the Future ("OMF", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through this website (ministryforthefuture.co.uk).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this website is Hertford College, Oxford. The Oxford Ministry for the Future operates as an activity convened at the College. If you have any questions about this notice or your personal data, please contact us at privacy@oxfordministryforthefuture.com.
What data we collect
When you visit the site, our hosting provider (IONOS) automatically records technical information in server logs, including your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is standard for running and securing a website.
We do not currently operate a newsletter, contact form, analytics or any other feature that collects personal data, and we will update this notice before we introduce one. We do not collect special category data, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
We use server log data for our legitimate interest in operating a safe, functional and secure website. We do not use it to identify or profile individual visitors.
Who we share it with
We use IONOS as our hosting provider, and they process server log data on our behalf as our processor. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep server logs only for as long as needed to run and secure the site — typically up to 12 months — after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@oxfordministryforthefuture.com.
Cookies
This site uses only the essential cookies needed to function. We do not use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, so we do not show a cookie banner.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
